Research Interests:

I am interested in modeling brass texture development in low-stacking fault FCC metals.  Specifically I am studying the effect of the latent hardening model on texture evolution.  In the latent hardening model, slip on a given slip system hardens other slip systems more than it hardens itself.   This has a tendency to enfore single slip on the crystal as opposed to a taylor type multislip.  It is hypothosized that the tedency for single slip in low stacking-fault FCC metals lead to the development of the brass texure.  The latent hardening model will be used in conjunction with FEM modeling to test these hypothesises.

Personal Interests:

Reading, cinima, playing guitar, swimming, sailing and fishing.
