Research Interests
  • Developing an understanding of the fundamental link between material properties and mechanical responses
  • Better quantifying basic material properties through experiments
  • Linking numerical simulations with experiments to improve models

Personal Interests

I am involved in the Cornell Judo Club and compete in some regional tournaments. I have also been a facilitator for part of the Haven student organization. I am an extremely amateur photographer and enjoy walking along and photographing the gorges, which are so very different from the corn fields I know and love from Illinois.
